Why browser-based PDF tools keep your documents private
Many free PDF websites upload your file to their servers, process it there and send it back. PDF Master Editor works differently: the processing happens inside your own browser.
What “nothing is uploaded” means
When you open a tool, your browser downloads the program code once, much like opening any web page. When you choose a PDF, it is read from your device into the browser's memory and processed there. The finished file is created in the same place. The PDF itself never travels over the internet to us.
Why that matters
- Sensitive documents. Aadhaar cards, mark sheets, salary slips and medical reports should not sit on unknown servers.
- School and office data. Student lists and confidential orders stay within your control.
- Speed. No upload and download wait, which helps on slow mobile data.
- Works offline once loaded. After the page has loaded, most tools keep working even if the connection drops.
What we do store
To run the pricing for PDFs over 5 pages, the site keeps a random device code and a one-way fingerprint of files that were paid for, so the same file is not charged twice. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into the document. Full details are in the privacy policy.
How to check for yourself
Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab and process a PDF. You will see no upload of your file. You can also switch to airplane mode after the page loads and the tools still work.
